Long Day Care
Infant Community Half Day
Montessori Casa delivers an educational program structured to facilitate children’s inquiring minds within a secure, supportive and family-like environment.
Children are greeted individually upon their arrival and begin work freely by themselves/with friends/ one to one lesson presentations from the teachers. Morning tea is on offer from 9:30 – 11:00, when they feel hungry.
The morning circle time consists of greetings, songs, calendar activity, group discussion through open-ended questions, games, and music. During their three-hour work cycle, children choose activities from Montessori curriculum areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Culture. The children often begin with refining their independent living skills using activities from the practical life and sensorial areas such as pouring a drink, peeling a carrot, opening and closing boxes.
Following children’s interests, the teachers introduce the language, mathematics and culture materials individually or in small groups.
We encourage children to construct their own understanding of concepts through active explorations and interactions with the Montessori learning materials. Our program is rich in opportunities and challenges and enables children to access a variety of learning experiences.
